(Douglas County, Colo.) Stay up-to-date with events in Douglas County. This week's events include everything from a town council meeting to a beer fest under the stars. 

Here are five events happening between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4 to consider adding to your calendar:

Larkspur town council meeting

6-9 p.m. Sept. 1 on Zoom

The regular town council meeting will take place this week virtually on Zoom. To join the meeting, click here.

Chaparral Encore Players Mystery Theater

7 p.m. Sept. 1 and Sept. 2 at Chaparral High School, 15655 Brookstone Dr. in Parker.

Enjoy an evening of mystery theater presented by Chaparral Encore Players, a group of Chaparral theater department juniors and seniors. Tickets are $7.

Blood drive

9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Northridge Recreation Center, 8800 Broadway in Highlands Ranch.

The Highlands Ranch Community Association will partner with Vitalant to help individuals receive lifesaving blood transfusions for those going through cancer treatments, traumatic injuries, birth, or other medical emergencies. Healthy individuals are encouraged to donate.

Beers and Cheers comedy show

8-10 p.m. Sept. 2 at Lone tree Brewing Co., 8222 Park Meadows Dr. in Lone Tree.

Beers and Cheers is an age 21 and up event full of craft brews and comedy.

Castle Rock Beer Fest Under the Stars

4-9 p.m. Sept. 4 at The Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park, 1375 W. Plum Creek Pkwy. in Castle Rock.

This beer fest is an all-inclusive night featuring unlimited pours from 20 local breweries, unlimited small plates from eight food trucks, and entertainment by three bands.

Tickets range from $49-$79, and proceeds support Rylie's ARK, a nonprofit that seeks to help individuals and families in times of need, sponsor scholarships to summer camps, pay sports fees, and more.
