6 things you can do in Douglas County this week

(Douglas County, Colo.) Stay up-to-date with events in Douglas County. This week's options include everything from town council meetings to the Parker Days Festival. 

Here are six events happening between June 6 and June 12 to consider adding to your calendar: 

Lone Tree City Council meeting 

4:30-9 p.m. June 9 at the Lone Tree Civic Center located at 8527 Lone Tree Pkwy. 

Lone Tree City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month unless otherwise posted. Click here to view the agenda, including the time allotted for public comments. 

DougCo Town Hall meeting 

6 p.m. June 8 at 100 Third St. located in the Commissioners' Hearing Room in Castle Rock or virtually here.

This week's agenda includes a discussion of broadband service in DougCo for residents underserved by internet services. 

Adult swim party 

4:30-7:30 p.m. June 8 at the Eastridge Recreation Center outdoor pool located at 9568 University Blvd. in Highlands Ranch 

This age 21 and up event will feature a cash bar, music and time to enjoy an adult-only evening. Tickets are $5 and are available for purchase here.

Fitness Fridays 

8-9 a.m. June 10 at The Philip S. Miller Park Amphitheater located at 1375 W. Plum Creek Pkwy. in Castle Rock 

Every Friday in June through August, consider joining various free fitness classes from interval training to Tabata. This Friday is a Zumba class; click here for the full schedule.

Parker Days Festival 

4-10 p.m. June 10-12 along Mainstreet in Downtown Parker 

Parker's biggest annual event returns after a two-year hiatus for a weekend full of rides, libations, contests and music. The event is free to enter. Ride tickets start at $10.

Town Clean-Up Day 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. June 11 for Larkspur residents 

The town clean-up will help residents with their spring cleaning for free. Residents should place items for pickup on the street labeled for Town Clean-Up Day removal. For help loading or moving any items, there is a sign-up at Larkspur Town Hall located at 9524 S. Spruce Mountain Road. 

Prohibited items include all hazardous materials, paint, tires, batteries and refrigerators.
