In my travels, I have been to many places, and Hawaii has some of the freshest and best cuisine I have ever eaten. Having shared with you the best restaurants to eat at on Oahu, Hawaii, I thought I'd share my top 7 recommendations today. I hope you guys get a chance to check these places out! Enjoy!
For Sushi:
This one is tough, and I have a few favorites, so here are some recs:
- i-Naba for sashimi
- Sushi ii and Sushi Izakaya Gaku
While all of these are a bit pricey, you should definitely splurge on one sushi restaurant if you're in Hawaii. It's worth every penny!
For Poke:
Poke at Foodland: Poke is served at many favorite restaurants, but I like it best at Foodland. It's a foodie's dream come true to visit Foodland for a variety of choices! Fresh poke is available at their poke counter every day.
For Pizza -
J Dolan's: They offer New York-style pizza, and I'm here for it! You'll enjoy this place even more if you like Irish pubs. The perfect place to hang out with friends and family.
For Udon -
Maragume Udon: It’s no secret that this is my favorite udon place! It’s a popular place for both tourists and locals alike. They serve authentic Japanese udon at reasonable prices. There’s always a long line at the Waikiki location, so I usually order mine from a delivery service. Worth the wait though if it’s your first time!
For Happy Hour -
Hideout at the Laylow: This place is a favorite. The restaurant is located across from Maragume Udon. The restaurant offers happy hour between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. It has great happy hour prices, and I love the ambiance. The Hideout also has live music every day. If you're with friends, family, or on a date, this is the place to be!
For Healthy Food -
Nalu Health Bar and Cafe: This restaurant offers a great selection of healthy items made from locally sourced ingredients. Everything from sandwiches to smoothies to acai bowls to salads; you can't go wrong here!
For Cocktails -
Blind Ox: For speakeasy vibes and curated cocktails, this is a must-visit. Despite being a bit pricey, it's still worth the experience!
