Freedom Park – My go-to park for some happy emotions!

This is my favorite park in Charlotte. The park is huge and offers something for everyone in every age group. There are huge soccer fields, a volley ball court with sand an obstacle course area for those who want a challenge. A huge playground for kids with a steam locomotive that they can play in. This park always has a wonderful and diverse crowd. There's always plenty of people working out, walking their dogs, playing with their kids or just enjoying the scenery. My favorite part of the park is the walking/bike riding trails that snakes around the water feature with the ducks and of course all the grass and trees. Nothing I love more than laying a blanket on the grass to relax for a few after taking a lap or 2 around the park. There is a part where there is an entrance to another hike/loop that I walked down quickly before the sunset. I didn't finish that part so I can't tell you how long it is. Overall I'm super jealous of this area with Freedom park and their cute houses. Honestly I would just come every day just for a walk and enjoy some peaceful time for myself – because this park makes me a happy girl!
