Are you craving a salad? Today, I’m sharing my favorite baby spinach salad with fresh strawberries and walnuts. Once you try this salad, I bet you want to make it again. It’s perfect for a small get together or a party. The combination of spinach, strawberries and walnuts definitely bring a delicious and rich flavor to this salad. And the sweet & sour taste from this salad dressing is so good & perfect for this recipe. If you are a vegan or a vegetarian and looking for a salad recipe this is for you!
Ingredients:
- Baby Spinach
- Fresh strawberries
- Walnuts
Ingredients for salad dressing:
- Unbleached organic cane sugar ¼ cup
- Vegetable oil 3 tbsp.
- Red wine vinegar 3 tbsp.
- Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp.
- Sesame seeds 3 tbsp.
- Minced onion 1 tbsp. (I prefer red onion)
- Poppy seeds tsp. (optional)
- Blue cheese (optional)
In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients: sugar, vegetable oil, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sesame seeds, minced onion, poppy seeds until the sugar completely dissolves.
Leave it in the refrigerator until you use it. This salad dressing is good in the refrigerator for a week or so.
Let's make the salad. In a salad bowl add spinach, strawberries and walnuts or peanuts. Do not add nuts to this recipe if you are allergic to them.
Mix the salad dressing before you use it.
Pour dressing over salad, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes before serving. In case you want to serve chilled. But I prefer adding the salad dressing just before I eat my salad.
