I love Hibachi! I am always looking forward to going to a Japanese restaurant for hibachi with my family. The way they cooked in front of you impressed me. To make this recipe, you need an outdoor Hibachi griddle or an indoor electric griddle. I recently bought a stainless-steel griddle which I can put on the top of my outdoor grill. Today I’m sharing my hibachi recipe with you. This hibachi chicken, shrimp, steak and fried rice recipe is perfectly seasoned, and tastes like it was just made at your favorite Japanese restaurant. You can see I'm using the same ingredients for all the meats that I'm cooking on this grill. I prefer using sesame oil which gives an extra flavor to this recipe. Hope you too love this recipe. This is the perfect way to make hibachi at home!
Ingredients:
- Take your favorite vegetables. I'm using zucchini, squash, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower.
- Medium shrimp 1 lb.
- Chicken breast 2 lbs.
- Steak 4 lbs.
Seasoning: (for all the food I'm cooking on this grill)
- Sesame oil
- Butter or garlic butter
- Ground black pepper
- Garlic powder (if you are using garlic butter skip garlic powder)
- Turmeric powder
- Salt
- Soy sauce
- Dry herbs
For Fried rice:
- Cooked rice
- Eggs
- Sweet green peas
1. Start the grill on high heat.
2. Add 1 tbsp. of oil. I'm using sesame seed oil. Once it's hot add your vegetables.
3. Add salt, ground black pepper, butter, garlic powder and some soy sauce. If you have garlic butter
you can use it too. And also sprinkle some dry herbs if you like.
4. The vegetables are done.
5. Next I'm going to cook the chicken & shrimp. If you are allergic to seafood please cook them separately.
6. Add sesame oil, shrimp and chicken. Again the same ingredients.
I use turmeric on everything.
7. Do not cook shrimp for more than 7 minutes. It'll become rubbery. But cook the chicken a little longer.
8. Next I'm going to cook egg fried rice.
9. Again sesame oil. Once it's hot, crack open your eggs. I'm using 6 eggs.
10. Scramble them and now add the cooked rice & mix it well with the eggs.
11. Into that add butter, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, soy sauce and some dried herbs. I'm
adding some frozen sweet peas as well.
12. Egg fried rice is ready. Looks so tasty.
13. And finally I'm cooking the beef. Add sesame oil first.
14. Just close the grill cover and cook.
My kids want me to make teriyaki beef, so instead of soy sauce I'm adding sweet teriyaki sauce and I'm cooking it medium rare.
There's no way I would eat Hibachi without Yum Yum Sauce! I've already made this sauce and I'll share the recipe with you soon.
It's a meat lover's plate of food. All in one plate. I love hibachi, I hope you do too!
