Cycle Dogs food truck to take over former No Bones Beach Club location

My Ballard

Popular Seattle food truck Cycle Dogs is setting up a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Ballard at the former No Bones Beach Club (5410 17th Avenue NW) this spring.

Cycle Dogs, a vegan food truck, began as a small vegan bike cart in 2015, founded by Keaton and Becky Tucker. The hit food cart quickly became a roving food truck that moved throughout Ballard's Brewery District. Cycle Dogs has been operating next to The Dane (8000 15th Ave NW) for the past several months.

Some of their crowd favorites include the "trash can fries" which come loaded with vegan goodies such as their homemade meat-free chorizo, onions, corn, and mayo. Their vegan hot dogs aren't lacking inspiration—the menu includes a German-style Currywurst, Mexican-themed Elote Dog, and the classic Seattle Dog with cream cheese and grilled sweet onion.

Cycle Dogs plans on renovating its new location after No Bones Beach Club's closure. The owners plan to make the new restaurant "backyard themed where it will feel like summer year-round." They will also be adding some new menu items like beer-battered mushrooms, filling salads, and alcoholic beverages.

A Kickstarter is set to launch in four days to help Cycle Dogs cover final costs and bring things together by spring opening. Their Kickstarter campaign can be found here when it starts.
