#WinterStorm #PreparingTheFarmForASnowStorm #Homesteading When I first started homesteading I had a certain picture in my head about what it would be like. Rarely does reality meet in the middle with the expectationsโฆ We're getting the farm ready for a Winter Snow Storm. We're getting inches of ice and then close to a foot of snow! We have to make sure our Mini Goats and Mini Donkeys are safe in this dangerous winter weather. So here's how we make sure our Nigerian Dwarf Goats and Miniature Donkeys stay safe, warm, happy and healthy during a BIG WINTER STORM! But before the storm even gets here, our ducks were attacked by a predator! When it rains it pours.

A family of homesteaders in East Central Indiana. We want to break free of the Big Box Grocery Stores. We are striving to grow our own food on our little slice of paradise that started out as a retired corn field! We raise Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Muscovy Ducks, meat and egg laying chickens, and turkeys! We love beekeeping for the benefits they provide us and neighboring gardens as pollinators and honey is just a sweet bonus! We garden in zone 5b in both raised garden beds and in ground gardens! Follow us on our journey and become apart of our Farmily!
