On Saturday night in Yuma, Arizona, a tragic incident occurred resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving five teenagers hospitalized due to gunshot wounds. The Yuma Police Department responded to a shooting incident near 32nd Street and Highway 195, located just south of Interstate 8. The authorities were alerted around 11 p.m., prompting an immediate police presence at the scene. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a total of seven individuals who had sustained gunshot injuries.
Among the victims were two men aged 19 and 20, who were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, they succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Additionally, a 16-year-old boy with life-threatening wounds required urgent care and was subsequently airlifted to a medical facility in Phoenix for treatment.
According to the Yuma Police, four more teenage boys ranging from 15 to 19 years old also suffered gunshot wounds. Thankfully, their injuries were assessed to be non-life-threatening. At present, authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the shooting. No suspects have been apprehended as of now, and the search for those responsible remains ongoing.
