Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into pharmaceutical companies Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.
Covid 19 Pandemic Started 3 Years ago, but until today many of us have so many questions regarding the vaccine, the pandemic itself, and about the gain of function. Today Texas Attorney General announced that they are starting an investigation.
The investigation aims to determine whether the companies engaged in gain-of-function research and misled the public about doing so. Gain-of-function research involves modifying a virus to make it more infectious or deadly, which has been controversial in recent years.
Additionally, Paxton is investigating whether the companies misrepresented the efficacy of their COVID-19 vaccines and the likelihood of transmitting COVID-19 after taking the vaccines in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The investigation will also examine the potential manipulation of vaccine trial data.
This investigation is focused on potentially fraudulent activity that falls outside the scope of legal immunity granted to manufacturers of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The investigation will also review the companies’ controversial practice of reporting the metric of “relative risk reduction” instead of “absolute risk reduction” when publicly discussing the efficacy of their vaccines.
Pharmaceutical companies have experienced record-breaking financial success in recent years, partly driven by sales related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Given their vested interest in the success of COVID-19 products and reports of alarming side effects of vaccines, aggressive investigation is warranted.
This investigation will compel the companies to turn over documents that the public would otherwise be unable to access.
Attorney General Paxton is committed to discovering the full scope of decision-making behind pandemic interventions, significantly when a profit motive or political pressure may have compromised Americans’ health and safety.
With the unprecedented political power and influence that pharmaceutical companies now wield over public health policies, it is more important than ever that they are held accountable if they take dangerous, illegal actions to boost their revenues.
Attorney General Paxton emphasized the importance of the investigation, stating that “if any company illegally took advantage of consumers during this period or compromised people’s safety to increase their profits, they will be held responsible. If public health policy was developed on the basis of flawed or misleading research, the public must know.”
