"Simply worst president in American history." - President Donald Trump

On April 25, 2023, President Joe Biden announced his intention to run for re-election in 2024. The news was met with a swift and negative response from former President Donald Trump, who released a statement calling Biden "simply the worst president in American history."

In the video President Trump says:

"You could put the five worst Presidents in American history together. And they would not have done the Damage that Joe Biden has done to our nation."

In his statement, Trump accused Biden of being a "corrupt puppet" and claimed that his donors were spending millions of dollars to keep him in the White House. He also called on his supporters to donate to his campaign to help defeat Biden.

Trump's response to Biden's announcement is not surprising, as he has repeatedly called Biden the worst president ever in the past. However, it is notable that he chose to make a statement on the matter, as he has not yet formally announced his candidacy for the 2024 election.

Despite not officially declaring his candidacy, Trump appears to be the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

He has built large leads in many GOP primary polls, including a Morning Consult poll released on Tuesday. The poll found that Trump led his next closest potential challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, by 37 points.

In addition to his statement, Trump also rolled out a fundraiser attacking Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday. The fundraiser features beer koozies that read, "The only thing worse than a warm beer…" and show a picture of Biden and Harris.

It remains to be seen how the 2024 election will play out, but with both Biden and Trump officially in the race, it will surely be a contentious and closely watched campaign.
