Today 7th of April is the official World health day. Since the beginning of 2020, the whole "concept" around our health is more popular than ever. Also, understanding that we have one planet, Earth, and we need to make changes in our everyday life.

As of the beginning of 2020, almost the whole world was severely hit by the Coronavirus pandemic. A year later, we have lost over 3 million people because of COVID 19, and over 132 Million people had Covid Disease. We still have a long way to go till we can say that we finally "beat" the COVID 19.

Our health is the most significant gift that we have, it is important to be thankful for your healthy body, mind, and things we can do. As we all know, the feeling after a bad headache or pain that it feels so good to feel HEALTHY once it has gone.

Find out seven great tips to keep yourself healthy, happy, and energetic.

1. DRINK WATER - minimum eight glasses per day.

Drinking water plays a huge role in our health and the efficiency of our brain. About 60% of the human body is water, and every cell in our body needs water to transport oxygen that is important for our brain efficiency and functionality.

Drink minimum 8 glasses of water per day. Try to drink tap water or alkaline water, use your water bottle ( If you can, try to avoid buying plastic bottled water from the shop. Platic pollution is not good for our planet)

2. Exercise in the morning for 15 minutes.

You say you have no time to exercise. Challenge yourself this month, get up 15 minutes earlier, turn on Youtube video and take up some 15 minutes HIIT challenge or Yoga class, for example, Yoga with Adriane.

Do it for 30 days and see if anything changes in your health.

Things you may notice when you add 15 minutes work out right after you wake up - Happier, more energy, focused, and weight loss.

Just because you take time to work out in the morning, you will also start making healthier food choices, creativity increases, better mood, and a positive mindset.

3. Take a daily 30 minutes walk outside or in the forest.

Humans are connected to Nature, and going out for a walk in Nature increases our happiness. And as we know, when we are happy, our brain produces dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins. Your body also burns fat and sugars more efficiently. Obviously, do not take your Latte or milkshake with you while going for your power walk.

So take a walk back from your office. It helps to clear your mind from work, stress, and problems and if you have sleeping problems, taking a long walk helps you fall asleep faster.

4. Take a COLD SHOWER - 1, 2, 3 - are you ready?

Taking a cold shower in the morning will not only WAKE YOU UP. It will boost your immune system, gives you more energy and vitality.

5. IF YOU CAN GO VEGAN - EAT FRESH AND LOCAL FOOD.

Food plays one of the most significant role in our health and overall wellbeing. Unfortunately, we are living in a world where one part of the world we over-consume and produce. In comparison, another part of the world is in hunger or just one basic meal per day.

Unfortunately, this overproduction is leading us to a very critical situation in this world. Based on the Netflix documentary Seaspiracy, if we continue "fishing" at the same speed as we do today, we are out of FISH and SEAFOOD by 2048. And not only that our oceans are in danger, but we are also facing some other serious health issues, maybe another pandemic and more.

Treat your body with fresh and local food; the less we consume "products" that are coming far away, the smaller is our ecological footprint and better for our health.

Eating local and seasonal food is the best for our bodies. It has more nutrition and fewer pesticides.

6. ONCE A YEAR, Health check-up

To avoid any "surprises," schedule once a year doctor's appointment is an excellent way to have an overview of your health.

It is hard to tell just by looking at someone if they may need some extra or lack some vitamins. Going to the doctor and taking blood tests gives a great overall overview of what should be improved.

Sometimes behind our tiredness or lack of energy might be low in iron or magnesium. And once we know the "cause," the fix can be simple and easy.

Also, if there are some serious illnesses in your family, it is crucial to have a regular check-up to "discover" it early.

7. READ LESS NEGATIVE NEWS, SPEND LESS TIME WITH NEGATIVE PEOPLE AND PRACTISE GRATITUDE.

Don't let your mind be filled with negative news or comments. Do not surround yourself with negative people that pull you down. Your mental health is as important as your physical health.

Reading negative news has an impact on your brain and overall happiness. Do not get into arguments that are toxic or negative.

Surround yourself with positive people, listen to podcasts that inspire and make you feel good. Start journaling, and every day, write down ten things you are thankful for.

"What goes around comes around."

Like in everything in this life, it starts from us. If we wish to have a better, healthier, and happier life, we need to make some changes.

Simple things like getting up 15 minutes earlier and being conscious about our daily decisions help us make this world a better place for all of us.

Our health is essential as being healthy is a true gift. While it is important to take care of your health, it is vital to keep in mind our planet's health. Planet Earth gives us a place to live, air to breathe, and food to eat.
