Woman Found Dead On The Streets Two Days After Graduation
Boluwatife Omoniyi was found dead on the streets just 48 hours after graduating with a nursing degree.
According to the police, the young woman graduated from Leads University on the 7th of August this year and then attended a graduation party at a nightclub two days later in the company of her friends but never made it home.
The following day, her body was found dumped on the streets — away from the club — mutilated and with certain parts missing. However, since no one claims to have seen anything, no culprit has been apprehended or identified.
Speaking to the police, the club manager said he was saddened by the tragic incident, but there was nothing they could do about it.
"It saddens our hearts to hear about the tragic event that happened to some of our customers yesterday after leaving our facility; however, as a nightclub, we do not take responsibility for incidents that occur outside our premises, although our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family.
Our nightclub prioritizes the safety of all our patrons, and our venue is equipped with top-notch security systems, making it one of the most protected facilities in the city. We hope the family finds closure and justice will be served."
However, people are concerned as to why friends claim they didn't see anything, yet they were with her the whole night. "Somebody knows something," one commented, "unless they're in this together."
As it stands, the police are still searching, but chances for justice seem slim.
