Spending A Weekend In Washington DC
This weekend we take a trip down to our nation's capital, Washington DC! It has been a while since our last visit to Washington DC. Whenever we come we would normally visit the National Mall, White House, along with other touristy things. Dora hasn't been to any of the museums and luckily, the weather was terrible so it was an excuse to visit more museums which we love. Our first museum was the National Gallery of Art which houses over 100,000 works of art and spans 2 buildings both with 2 floors. We loved the variation of art that was showcased. We saw things from the Renaissance era to the modern era and everything else in between. You can't come to Washington DC and NOT get crab, so we went down to the wharf and got a dozen of seasoned crabs and shrimps and brought them back to our hotel. It was delicious and we highly recommend everyone to do this!
We're Mr. and Mrs. K. We come from the great city of New York, hailing from the great borough of Queens. This channel came from our passion for exploring, traveling, photography, and food. We realized that with all of the stories and experiences we’ve accumulated from our travels, we couldn’t just keep them to ourselves, these things had to be shared. Not all exploration and travel require a plane, luggage, and a compass. Sometimes exploring your own backyard leads to a destination yet to be discovered.
