Florida Relocation Guide 2021

Moving to Tampa Bay Florida- Martha Limonta

In the last two years, we have been seeing a very rapid increase in families and individuals relocating to the Tampa Bay Area. According to Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, Tampa MSA, which consists of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando counties, was ranked 5th in the nation with a total net migration of nearly 41,800 new residents, or 115 moving to the Tampa metro area every day in 2020. There are many reasons why someone would like to live there. The most common reasons are the weather, job opportunities, and most important the lifestyle. The Tampa Bay area is a location that has something for everyone. If you're a young professional you might be attracted to the areas of Hyde Park, SoHo, Downtown Tampa, and Channelside. This specific location is popular among young professionals because there are places that you can go to work and get things done but also tons of fun things to do on your days off or nighttime like restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

If you're looking for an area that's more family-oriented you should look into the areas of Westchase, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Carrollwood to name a few. These areas are considered a better fit for families because of the highly rated schools, parks, and kid-friendly environment.

There are thousands of people that move to Florida looking for a more relaxed lifestyle as they step into their new life stage: Retirement. But what is the best area for someone that is looking to enjoy the Florida lifestyle after they worked so hard for their entire lives? Depending on what type of lifestyle you are looking to have there are different options. If you're looking to have a place close to the beach with shopping, restaurants, and some nightlife then St Pete Beach would be a great place for you to consider. If you're looking for something a little more relaxed and laid back you can look into the areas of Gulfport, Treasure Island, and South Pasadena. These towns are relatively close to the bigger cities but give you a more "relaxed and quiet" feel to your everyday life. It's different from the big cities nearby like St Pete and Tampa because there's usually less traffic and they are not as well known as the bigger cities.
