The first Warm Up session of the year came to an end, with Enea Bastianini being the fastest on the track. Johann Zarco reached second in the final seconds and released Miguel Oliveira to fourth. Aleix Espargaró was third.

With the Warm Up session, the first of the year, the first to place himself at the top of the timesheet was Maverick Viñales, with 1:55.421s, a time that was immediately beaten after Fabio Quartararo completed a lap 0.072s faster. Almost all the riders had already left the garage but had not yet completed a full lap of time attack.

Johann Zarco was the gentleman who followed in the lead, soon beaten by Jorge Martín and, again, Quartararo, 1:54.781s.

With the session almost halfway through, Quartararo was in the lead, Miguel Oliveira had just reached second, 0.112s off the world champion, with Martín in third. Joan Mir was fourth, Zarco fifth.

A minute later this was the top ten:

Marc Márquez crashed shortly after in turn ten, without gravity, after losing the front of the bike.

In the following minutes there were no major changes, Bastianini remained in front, OIiveira was second and Quartararo third. No rider was at this stage, five minutes from the end, trying to attack the times.

Two minutes from the end, Aleix Espargaró made himself noticed and ascended to second, 0.236s from Bastianini, and soon after, Fabio Di Giannantonio crashed at turn one of the Qatari circuit and the yellow flag was raised.

At the end of the curtain, Zarco came in second, then relegating Oliveira to fourth. Bastianini was the fastest man in the session.
