The maneuver from Darryn Binder on Portimão has caused many talks all over the paddock and among a lot MotoGP riders, with Valentino Rossi also addressing the situations and saying that the Moto3 rider is always related with this kind of problems, which became even greater as this time it affected someone who was still trying to get the title – Dennis Foggia.
‘In my opinion, one thing is the potential that Binder can have who maybe arrives in MotoGP without even having been a protagonist in Moto3. But this is an evaluation that the team must make. The problem is that what happened today [sunday] is bad, because for someone who fights for the World Championship like Foggia, who has struggled so hard during the year, being thrown down like this is not nice’, Il Dottore began to say before speaking about how the south african is usually part of a group of riders that is seen often causing such problems:
– There are a few riders, including Binder, who are always in the middle of these things, and that is wrong. We should better manage the situation and try to ensure that these things don’t happen, or at least not always with the same riders!
The situation has was also addressed by Francesco Bagnaia, Joan Mir, Jack Miller or Pol Espargaro, among others.
Remember that Foggia was on the title battle with Pedro Acosta, but his crash meant the Moto3 title was then done, and was awarded to the spanish. Sergio García was also taken down by Binder.
