The final rounds of the 2021 MotoGP season have been marked by the balance between Ducati and Yamaha, more specifically between Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo, thus giving extra excitement to this eventful championship.
And to speak of this balance nobody better than Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis that sees the duel between Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia as a fight marked by balance, especially since the summer break, and stressed the confidence that the Italian has at the moment, combined with his first victory in the category, that have given a extra boost for the second win.
'Fabio has added 78 points since the summer break, Bagnaia 77 points. As such they have managed to get, let's say, the same number of points in the last five races,' said the Yamaha CEO, quoted by Paddock-GP, before making some remarks about the current moment of the number 63:
- 'Bagnaia celebrated his first MotoGP victory in Aragon. You know how it works, a rider gets his first win and gains a lot of confidence in himself, and it's normal that he then goes to the next GPs with confidence.
However, Jarvis believes that both riders had very similar performances: 'Bagnaia was very fast at Misano last year until his crash, so I wasn't surprised to see him being very fast again this time. At the same time, Bagnaia and Fabio were almost as strong as each other on race day.'
