DETROIT, MI – Famous with his Netflix comedy special 'Homecoming King' and weekly 'Patriot Act,' stand-up comedian Hasan Minhaj will take his one-man comedic show 'The King’s Jester' to the Fox Theatre on Saturday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
Minhaj gained popularity after hosting the 2017 White House Correspondents' Dinner. His 'Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King' earned a 2018 Peabody Award. His 'Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj' received not only received a 2019 Peabody Award but was also recognized for a 2020 Television Academy Honor and was awarded a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Motion Design.'
A first-generation American, Minhaj is especially known for his unique comedic voice that explores the modern cultural and political landscape. He joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in November 2014 and continued his role as a correspondent after Trevor Noah took over as host. He stayed in the show until August 2014

This show is a phone-free experience, so the use of phones, smartwatches, and accessories will not be permitted. The gadgets will be secured in individual Yondr pouches upon arrival and can be accessed in designated Phone Use Areas. Gadgets will be returned to their owners after the show.
