With safety measures in place and people getting vaccinated, many are planning trips back to Orlando theme parks. Theme parks tend to always have something going on, from seasonal events to exciting new experiences. You want to know what is scheduled before you wind up sinking money into a ticket only to realize you missed the event everyone has been raving about. If you’ve decided to make a visit to The Mouse or one of its competitors in June 2021, here’s everything you should know before you go.
Jurassic World VelociCoaster Opens at Islands of Adventure
This attraction is set to open on June 10, 2021.
Marketed as the “apex predator” or roller coasters, Jurassic World’s latest ride, Velocicoaster, is set to join the lineup of attractions at Island of Adventure on June 10. This attraction was built on what was formerly the Triceratops Encounter attraction which closed way back in 2014.
VelociCoaster takes you on a hunt through the jungle alongside velociraptors. This new attraction features a 140-foot drop. It is a steel launch coaster that catapults people forward from zero to 50 mph in only three seconds. From there the speed climbs to 70 mph at the next launch point. Beyond the drop and launches, riders will also experience four inversions.
The soft opening for VelociCoaster began on April 30, 2021. This ride does require you to stow your personal belongings in lockers.

Enjoy a festival celebrating gardens, blooms, entertainment, and (of course) delicious dishes. The Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival has a little of everything. This year's Flower & Garden Festival kicked off on March 3 but luckily it will stretch through July 5 so you have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities.
Grab food from the outdoor kitchens sprinkled throughout the park, enjoy viewing displays and exhibits, and settle down for some live entertainment.
The Bands at America Gardens Theatre will house a number of performances held during the festival. These range from a variety of pop bands to R&B and Latin. The outdoor kitchens will include dishes from around the world, including Germany, Japan, France, and more. As always, Epcot’s food is phenomenal. You’ll want to eat a light breakfast so you can enjoy all that this festival has to offer.
