Orlando theme parks have been working hard to provide safe experiences for guests with limited capacity, enhanced cleaning, and selective closure of specific experiences. As more people are getting vaccinated many are planning to return to the parks for the first time in months. Orlando theme parks have plenty for guests to do in May 2021 with modified experiences to ensure safety and social distancing. Check out the events coming up in May 2021 so you know the details before you purchase your ticket.

Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida

This event will be held until May 2, 2021

This is an event that is coming to an end soon. If you don’t want to miss Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida then you’ll need to head to the park by May 2. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting another year for the vibrant parades, live concerts, and delicious Cajun food.

The Mardi Gras 2021 theme is ‘International Flavors of Carnaval’ and it lives up to its name by celebrating food from around the world. Samples include dishes from Puerto Rico, Germany, Spain, New Orleans, and other areas. As always, pick a spot and enjoy the floats as they cruise down the parade path.

International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot

This event will be held on through July 5, 2021.

The Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will run until July 5, 2021. This event is all about blooming flowers, delightful flavors, and jaw-dropping performances. As with all the Disney parks currently, you’ll need to look into reserving your park admission before you go as spaces are limited. During your time at this Epcot festival, you can enjoy viewing carefully designed topiary displays and explore gorgeous gardens. This festival, after all, is about flowers and celebrating the natural world. These gardens and topiaries can be found throughout the park.

You won’t want to miss out on sampling from the various outdoor kitchens sprinkled throughout the different lands and within each portion of the World Showcase. There is a specially curated menu of dishes and drinks at each location. It’s incredibly unlikely you’ll be able to sample every option in one trip so pick from your most anticipated options first.
