Cupcakes are one of life’s simple pleasures. A slice of cake all squished into one serving size with enough icing to make each bite more than worth the calories. Orlando, as with most things, has no shortage of cupcake joints to send you spiraling into your next sugar coma. Check out these four Orlando cupcake bakeries where you can grab your next sweet treat.

1. Jillycakes

Orlando is home to a Food Network’s Cupcake Wars Winner. Give it up for Jillycakes! Jillycakes, run by Jillian Hopke, is a gourmet and specialty cake bakery. This bakery aims to provide “unparalleled flavor experiences” and they have the awards to prove it.

This shop is located inside the Wheelhouse at Icon Park where you can drop by to pick from 12 of their over 60 flavors. Their cupcakes are baked fresh each and every day. With their constantly rotating flavors and their newly created options added in you could stop by Jillycakes regularly and always try out something new.

A few of their most interesting sweet flavors include:

  • Boston Cream Pie
  • Black Forest
  • Caramel Apple Cider
  • Caramel Churro
  • Bourbon Pecan Donut
  • Pancake Breakfast

Their savory cupcakes are by far some of the most bizarre and interesting concoctions I’ve ever seen. Check these out:

  • Tomato Basil
  • Zucchini Red Pepper
  • Fig and Goat Cheese
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Jalapeno Popper
  • Thanksgiving Dinner

Jillycakes also provides gluten-free options and a deep-fried cupcake.

Price Range: $3 to $5 on average

Address: 8375 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819

2. Sister Honey’s

Sister Honey’s opened on Michigan Street in the middle of 2012. The name of the bakery is in honor of owner Evette Rahman’s mother who inspired her passion for baking. This passion has led to a wildly successful bakery with awards piling up. In 2020, Sister Honey’s was inducted in Orlando Magazine’s 2020 Dining Hall of Fame and given the Orlando Sentinel Foodie Award of 2020’s Best Bakery. If all the accolades don’t inspire you to visit Sister Honey’s bakery, then maybe the cupcakes themselves will.

While Sister Honey’s doesn’t specialize in cupcakes, it is one of their many offerings. Besides the cupcakes, Sister Honey’s makes everything from baked pies to cookies and cakes to scones.

Sister Honey’s cupcake menu consists of:

  • German Chocolate
  • Almond
  • Coconut Lime
  • Chocolate Trio
  • Cheesecake
  • Chocolate Vanilla
  • Hummingbird
  • Peanut Butter Chocolate
  • Red Velvet
  • Very Vanilla
  • Lemon
  • Cookies and Cream

Price Range: $16.99 for six, $31.99 for a dozen

Address: 247 E Michigan St. Orlando, FL 32806

3. Nothing Bundt Cakes

So technically these aren’t cupcakes but Nothing Bundt Cakes’ Bundtlets and Bundtinis are essentially cupcakes just in bundt cake form. They’re also the moistest, most flavorful cake I’ve ever ingested—and boy do I enjoy inhaling these. I don’t even know how long they keep because within an hour of walking in the door with one it’s gone. As a person who outwardly dislikes cake, Nothing Bundt Cakes is the cake for everyone.

Nothing Bundt Cakes was started by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz in 1997. This talented baking duo brought Nothing Bundt Cakes to life in Las Vegas and since their franchise of bundt-baking bakeries has expanded to around 300 locations between the United States and Canada. While this brand wasn’t homegrown in Orlando, our Orlando locations (one in Lake Mary and one in Winter Park) are run as franchises.

Nothin Bundt Cakes flavors include:

  • Chocolate Chocolate Chip
  • Classic Vanilla
  • Red Velvet
  • White Chocolate Raspberry
  • Confetti
  • Carrot
  • Lemon
  • Marble
  • Pecan Praline
  • Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie

Seasonal flavors are available throughout the year. The current seasonal flavor available is Strawberries and Cream. This will stick around until May 31 when it will be switched out to another delicious option.

Price Range: $4.50 each for Bundtlets or $22 for a dozen Bundtinis

Address: 415 N Orlando Ave Suite 101 Winter Park, FL 32789
