On November 12, 2021, the Montgomery County Gazette published an article regarding the administrative termination of the Texans for True Conservatives PAC; after the publication of the article, the founder of the PAC has submitted the unfiled reports to the Federal Election Commission.

Since the publication of this article on Friday, November 12, 2021, Texans for True Conservative Director David Roberts reach out to the Montgomery County Gazette to announce he has filed an Amended Statement of Organization and restructured his PAC on Monday, November 15, 2021 after being notified of the publication of this article.

On November 16, 2021, Mr. Roberts also filed the missing financial reports (Form 3X) and clarified he has not collected any donations or had any expenditures related to his PAC since it was organized on February 17, 2020; which is why he did not file the reports by the required deadlines, even though the Federal Election Commission generated “Failure to File” notices on October 30, 2020; December 18, 2020; and February 17, 2021 before issuing the July 2, 2021 Administrative Termination letter.

By filing the missing financial reports on November 16, 2021, the Texans for True Conservatives PAC is once again an active Political Action Committee as per the requirements of the Federal Election Commission.

The Montgomery County Gazette has verified this information with the Federal Elections Commission. We will continue to closely monitor all Political Action Committees ahead of the March 2022 Primary election season.
