Locals and visitors, save the date, and call your friends it's almost time to Mosey Down Main Street in Lafayette, IN!

Mosey Down Main Street has dropped its dates for the 2023 season! For the following dates:

May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, August 12th, September 2nd, 2023!

Mosey Down Main Street is a series of street celebrations brought to you by the local artistic community.  Volunteers, downtown business owners, artists and musicians come together once a month from May through September to offer a free family friendly event that takes place right down the center of Main Street in downtown Lafayette. Enjoy three stages of music, outdoor food, beer and wine sales as well as street performers, sidewalk chalk and handmade Hula hoops, Drum circles and DJ's, belly dancers, balloon animals and more." The Home of Purdue website states.

Volunteers, downtown business owners, artists and musicians come together once a month from May through September. If the time is right, consider visiting the Get Involved page to donate your time, money, or tangible items to help keep us moving forward! " States the Mosey website.

Basic rules of the event for visitors and visiting pets listed along with a Calendar of Events are also available on the website. If you have nothing planned for the fun summer weekends, drop on by and enjoy some music and be entertained with a block party held in Lafayette, IN with the Mosey on Main Street! We are at a Medium High today with Grasses still dominating the pollens that are blasting us as we are out and about in the open air. It looks as though as the days go on, on Sunday when there is prediction of high probability of rain, we will get a slight break and drop down to medium ranges, dampening down our pollen content for Sunday and Monday dropping all the way to low-medium levels, so that we can breathe a bit easier.

Since humidity will be relatively low most of the week....make sure to do most activities in the morning and early afternoon, to remain as comfortable as possible.

Looks like we are going into the week with Mulberry, Ash, and Walnut being the main pollen culprits this week. We are going to have a very high week, so be prepared for that. Windows rolled up, don't park under trees, have the A/C on and on recirculation so that the air in your vehicle is filtered that you breathe. Tree pollen is a very fine dust, so you will not see it, but you sure will feel it. Watery eyes, sneezing, and upper respiratory tract issues. This week asthma sufferers will be in the Medium to Medium High Risk category.

Looks like we will have some better days Tuesday through Thursday of this coming week if rain can hold out! A decrease in the barometric pressure and warmer temperature shows to be promising for chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and arthritic patients this week. As always with Indiana weather, there is always the potential for a slight fluctuation depending on mother nature.
