Colorado Plus 49 Cidery & Pub opened in 2017. The building they are standing at now was formerly the Golden Coin-Op Laundry & Dry Cleaners. Located nearby historic downtown Golden, they aim to offer an elevated guest experience while serving craft ciders, beers, cocktails, and food pairings.

The history of Golden City Brewery can be traced back to 1993, as two geologists, Charlie & Janine Sturdavant began brewing German-style ales behind their historic Golden home. Their tasting room was formerly the carriage house, and the backyard had been transformed into a beer garden.
