Fort Greene Park Conservancy hosting free movie screening on Monday

(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) The Fort Greene Park Conservancy is holding a free special screening of "Citizen Ashe" on Monday at Myrtle Lawn.

The lawn will open at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-screening DJ set by Quiana Parks Begins, presented by The Lay Out, followed by the film screening at 9 p.m. "Citizen Ashe" is a documentary that explores the legacy of tennis great and humanitarian Arthur Ashe, tracing his personal evolution from sports legend to global activist.

The event, which is held in partnership with CNN Films, HBO Max, Tribeca Festival and the Fort Greene Tennis Association, is part of the Movies in Fort Greene Park series.

Tickets are free, but advanced registration is required.
