(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) Transportation Alternatives, a nonprofit advocating for better walking, biking and public transit for all New Yorkers, is hosting a free Family Fun Bike Ride in Prospect Park on June 4 at 10 a.m.
Families with children of all ages are invited to the Bartel-Pritchard Square entrance of the park to ride north on the Prospect Park West bike lane, enter the park at 3rd Street and do a loop inside the park at a slow pace.
The four-mile ride will conclude with snacks and activities near the back side of the Picnic House. Free CitiBikes are available in limited quantities for ages 16 and older. It is suggested to arrive at 9:30 a.m. if you plan to use a CitiBike.
The free event is supported by New York City Council members Crystal Hudson, Rita Joseph and Shahana Hanif, whose districts all touch Prospect Park.
Registration for the event can be found here.
