(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) The Brooklyn Marathon is this weekend and the 20,000 racers participating will come with some road closures and affect street parking in various areas of Prospect Heights.

On the streets listed below, the following will be true: There will be no street parking from Saturday at 12 p.m. to Sunday at 2 p.m., and the roads will be closed from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

  • Flatbush Avenue: From Fulton Street to Grand Army Plaza & from Grand Army Plaza to Empire Boulevard.
  • Grand Army Plaza: All streets surrounding Grand Army Plaza.
  • Eastern Parkway: From Grand Army Plaza to Brooklyn Avenue.

And if you hear some extra commotion in Prospect Heights on Sunday, it's because there are multiple cheer zones and entertainment zones set up throughout the race course, including one of each at Grand Army Plaza.
