(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) The Brooklyn Nets finished the regular season with four straight victories to claim the top spot in the play-in tournament, and they will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night at the Barclays Center.
Prior to the short winning streak, the Nets were slated in the No. 10 spot and would have needed to win back-to-back play-in games just to reach the playoffs. Now, they get to host the Cavs for a win-and-in situation for a chance to face off with the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference first round.
If Brooklyn loses to Cleveland, the Nets would play the winner of the Charlotte Hornets-Atlanta Hawks play-in game. A win in that game would give them a date with the No. 1-seeded Miami Heat, and a loss would eliminate them from the playoffs.
Tip-off on Tuesday is scheduled for 7 p.m.
