(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) The Prospect Park Alliance is celebrating Earth Day with a free event filled with family-friendly activities and interactive exhibits on April 23.
The event will offer educational pieces on Prospect Park's creator, Frederick Law Olmsted, with select panels from "Frederick Law Olmsted: Landscapes for the Public Good," an exhibit dedicated to his accomplishments.
The bash will celebrate the birthdays of Olmsted and naturalist John James Audubon, as well as the Prospect Park Audubon Center’s 20th anniversary.
Attendees can also learn how to use binoculars, make their own nature puzzle and participate in a lakeshore clean-up.
The B'Earth Day Bash runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Audubon Center in Prospect Park. Registration is required in order to attend.
