(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) Brooklyn Hots, a new restaurant and bar in Clinton Hill, opened last week and features a menu item that might not sound very appetizing: trash plates.

Trash plates are Brooklyn Hots' take on garbage plates, a dish that originated at Nick Tahou Hots in Rochester, New York, and is typically made up of a combination of macaroni salad, french fries, onions, meat and hot sauce.

Brooklyn Hots offers customers two protein options, which include burgers, bacon, grilled chicken and many more, two sides and two toppings. Sides and toppings vary from home fries and macaroni salad to raw onion and mustard.

They also serve classics like a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, hamburgers and BLTs. You can choose from some veggie menu items as well, like a beyond beef sandwich or a sprout salad.

Brooklyn Hots is located at 291 Greene Ave., and is currently open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

And since this is a new establishment, Brooklyn Hots is looking to hire a kitchen manager, line cook and prep cook as of Monday. You can apply by messaging the restaurant on Instagram.
