Last chance to check out 'The Marine City' art show in Greenpoint

(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) This weekend is the last chance to visit "The Marine City," a free community art show that explores the relationship between New York City and its surrounding marine environment, at the Church of the Ascension in Greenpoint.

The art show is open on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the weekend from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday will be the last showing.

"The Marine City" is a collaboration between Greenpoint Art Circle and Sustainable Ocean Alliance NYC, an ocean advocacy group, that displays 40 pieces from the collective of visual creators who drew inspiration from the city's waterways and shorelines.
