Michigan Student Aid shares UNIGO's Make Me Laugh scholarship information

Mike Kazsyck

MICHIGAN – MI Student Aid, part of the Michigan Department of Treasury, encourages students to apply for a unique scholarship from UNIGO.COM, a college and scholarship directory website.

The Make Me Laugh scholarship from UNIGO will grant $1,500 payable directly to the accredited institution attended by the scholarship prize recipient. All U.S. students from one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia age 14 years of age or older at time of application are eligible to apply.

All applicants are required to submit an online written response to the theme, describing an incident in their lives in 250 words or less to this page before August 31, 2021. The incident can be fact or fiction, simply hilarious or embarrassing, but it needs to tickle the funny bones of the judge.

You can only submit your application once, as one person can only submit one application. Consider your response carefully and recheck your writing and informed data as you cannot correct your submission.

A qualified panel of judges will select one potential winner and they will be notified by email or phone on or around November 29, 2021. The winner is required to show proof of enrollment to an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning, whether it's college, university, or trade school, on or before the fall of 2026.

MI Student Aid, or Office of Postsecondary Financial Planning, provides equality of access to student financial resources and information to help students with funding, tools, and resources on how they can afford post-secondary education in Michigan.
