Let's Get Merry and Bright with Let It Glow LO! And Win $100

Are you known as the Clark Griswold in your neighborhood? Do you pride yourself having the most creative light display on your block?

Whether you have an elaborate set up on your home and yard, or you have a wonderful decor that makes you feel more festive, the City of Lake Oswego wants you to share your spirit.

The Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department invites you to be extra merry this season! \

During the month of December, howcase your festive brilliant light displays for your friends and neighbors to enjoy! Hang your lights on the exterior of your home or business, snap a photo, and send it in to #LetItGlowLO for a chance to win an $100 gift card to a local LO business of your choice.

This is how to participate:

Share photos of your illuminated displays on your public social media accounts with the hashtag #LetItGlowLO and tag the City of Lake Oswego

  • Twitter @LakeOswegoInfo

When you post your photo with the hashtag #LetItGlowLO, you'll be automatically entered into a weekly lottery to win a gift certificate to a local business of your choice!

Here are some additional rules for the contest:

  • Contest is open to all ages.
  • Contest is for exterior lighting and decorations only, including decorations in windows and doors that are visible from outdoors.
  • Photos must be taken in Lake Oswego.
  • Photos may be used in City promotions, including print or electronic media.
  • No purchase or payment required to enter.
  • Winners select a $100 gift card to a local Lake Oswego business of their choice (available for merchandise or services only, not redeemable for cash).
  • One entry per person/business

The contest is throughout the month of December. Here's the timing of event entries:

The contest begins at 12:01 a.m. (PST) Wednesday, December 1 and runs until 11:59 p.m. (PST) Friday, December 31 (“promotion period”). One winner will be awarded each week during the promotion period. Entries received prior to or after the promotion period are disqualified.  

Find your cameras, pull out your smartphone, and enter your light display into the contest, because we all need a bit more festive holiday spirit this year!
