Florida Governor Ron DeSantis accuses the White House of chartering planes to transport immigrants from states bordering Mexico to various parts of the country.

"In the heat of the night" and without being seen, DeSantis assured that immigration authorities carry out the flights, although the Government indicated in statements to the BBC television network that local authorities have been previously notified of this type of transfers, that they were also common during the administration of former President Donald Trump.

“This is what happens with flights. There are no notifications for the state of Florida. They are done in the middle of the night, and that is clandestine, ”DeSantis said during a press conference in which he announced that the state has filed a lawsuit against the national government.

Some of these flights, which had been able to verify that some of these flights, which were destined for Jacksonville, in northeast Florida, took place during the day, while others occurred at night due to logistical issues, according to collected the Spanish news agency Europa Press.

In a letter sent to Biden, five Florida Republican deputies raised similar concerns and spoke of "secret flights in the middle of the night to move defenseless migrants."

However, the Government stressed that the Republicans "are trying to attack the Administration with a practice that has been carried out for years during various administrations."

The deputies expressed in the letter to President Joe Biden that they should carry out a thorough investigation into these clandestine flights that have been reported for several months.
