One person died this Thursday, October 21, in the morning in a traffic accident that occurred between two vehicles in Miami Gardens.
Miami Gardens police and Miami-Dade fire crews responded earlier to the scene on Ives Dairy Road and Northeast Second Avenue, where they found a black Jeep and a red Corvette involved in the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the red Corvette was killed in the collision.
Local 10 cameras captured after 7:20 am that authorities covered the body inside the convertible vehicle with a yellow tarp.
The Jeep appeared to have some damage to the front end, while the Corvette showed much more severe damage.
Officers present at the scene did not disclose whether anyone else was injured during the incident.
The cause of the collision is under investigation and it has not yet been confirmed which driver was at fault.
No further details were released immediately, but authorities are expected to provide more details as the investigation progresses.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area while the police investigate, as access through this area remains restricted.
Access is expected to be open to drivers again after noon. According to the Miami Gardens police authorities.

The authorities also called on drivers to be aware of the signs and thus avoid accidents that could be fatal.
They indicated that during the weekend they will be monitoring the main roads of the city, checking that these accidents decrease drastically.
