CLARKSTON, WA - A 32-year-old man who allegedly walked through Walmart while eating yogurt and drinking a gallon of milk was arrested over the weekend by Clarkston Police. According to a Probable Cause Affidavit, Joshua Sullivan told police he "believed it was the good ole boy system where he would repay the store when he was able to."
Sullivan, who had previously been trespassed from Walmart (November 2022), was booked into the Asotin County Jail on Saturday after being arrested at 7:55 p.m. on one count of 2nd-degree Burglary along with four outstanding warrants for Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest, and Theft.
When police arrived at Walmart, they found Sullivan sitting by the flagpole in front of the store.
"Sullivan said he was using his phone to look for jobs online at Wal-Mart," the affidavit says. "Sullivan agreed that he was not supposed to be at Wal-Mart. Sullivan also admitted to eating yogurt and drinking milk in the store and not paying for it."
Store staff determined the cost of the items allegedly taken was $10.31.
