4 Fun Activities to Do with Kids in Lancaster, PA, This Month
Looking to have some family fun this month? Lancaster, PA, is filled with activity opportunity for families and kids, indoors and outdoors. Whether you prefer being in nature, or get a hands-on museum experience, there are plenty of options throughout the county.
Here are four of my favorites:
Hands-on House Children's Museum
Hands-on House is a museum created for kids. It is all about creating learning experiences for children and their families through play. The museum's philosophy of childhood learning is simple: It lasts longer if it’s more fun, and it’s more fun if it includes doing.
Ideal for ages: 2-10.

Hiking in Lancaster County Central Park
Lancaster County Central Park offers gorgeous trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
The trails will take you across fields, through woods, and along creeks, and in my opinion, there's no better time to hike than during the fall and the prime time for fall foliage. Mill Creek Trail is one of the better trails if you bring little ones along. It is not too hard of a hike and there's plenty to see along the way.
Ideal for ages: 4 and up.

Strolling Lititz during Second Friday
Every second Friday of the month, downtown Lititz becomes a lively spot.
Most shops are open later, many of them with special, seasonal deals. There is fun entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to chat with the locals. If there's a time to visit what was once named as Americas coolest small town, it's during second Fridays.
A holiday tour at Kitchen Kettle Village
Kitchen Kettle Village is one of the most adorable spots in Lancaster County.
Towards the end of the month, Nov. 25, they are hosting their only holiday tasting tour of the season. There will be a tree lighting, live music, holiday shopping and lots of sampling of sweet and savory eats.
As long as you and your family enjoy food, odds are you will have a great time at this event.
Ideal for ages: 4 and up.
Address: 3529 Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse, PA 17534
