Stauffer Park is a beautiful park in itself, but when the food trucks come, it's all you'd ever want for a family-friendly, community-oriented fest for food enthusiasts, young and old.
Some of the food trucks lined up for the annual event include, but are not limited to:
For seafood, few things beat G's Concessions - they'll be offering shrimp, oyster, crab, pierogis, and more.
Ever had jerky and bacon on a stick? I haven't, but I'm eager to check it out at GnawJaw's truck.
For West African food, try Homage - run by the culinary genius Chef Oliver Saye, born in Liberia and raised in the United States. He's been in the business for 30 + years.
Nothing screams "family event" better than cotton candy and kettle corn. Ephrata-based Kurtz's Concessions will be serving a large variety of sweet treats, and my guess is the kids will line up for it.
New Holland's popular Lickity Split will also be at the event, featuring their hand-dipped ice cream. Scoop-O-Dough will be serving cookie dough and milkshakes.
Bubble Wow Waffles are dishing up their large gourmet waffles with ice cream. I haven't tried these before but after checking out their food online, I know where I'm heading for dessert!
Other than the food, there will be live music, raffles, and fun activities for all ages.
This Food Truck Fest benefits the Occupational Development Center and Manheim Township Recreation Department. Several vendors are cash-only, but there will be an ATM available on site.
