Lititz Farmers Market is one you don't want to miss out on. This seasonal outdoor market in Lititz Springs Park is a community gathering spot, and this year, several vendors are setting up shop each Thursday.

New flavors

New this season is a local favorite; Flavors of Morocco. They are usually to be found in the city's Southern Market with Chef Bushra Fakier dishing up authentic Moroccan-Indian fusion meals. Every dish is prepared with local and fresh products, seasoned with authentic spices and herbs.

This will be my first stop at the farmer's market next week! Pictured below is a dish I've ordered from them before, in Lancaster City.

At the market this year, you'll also find food from Koshary Station, and Rafiki Shoppe. The latter offers a variety of prepared African foods, dry goods and fair trade items. Rafiki is a social business that supports charities, both locally and in Africa.

Fresh produce

Let's not forget the produce. After all, this is a farmer's market, just with a lot of extra fun. You'll be able to get fresh produce at Lititz Farmer's Market each Thursday from May 19 through mid-October, with the exception of the 4th of July holiday week.

There will also be live music, free activities for children, Joyful Movement classes from June through August at the courtesy of Black Cat Yoga Lititz.

Lititz Farmers Market is a program of  Venture Lititz Inc., a non-profit organization created to support the continued success of businesses in downtown Lititz and throughout the community.

There's never a dull moment in Lititz!

Hours: 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. during spring and summer, and 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. after Labor Day.
