Have you ever heard of a place donating all of its profits, not only around holidays but continually?
That is what MOMS Pretzels do. This selfless and humble pretzel stand located within Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA, selects local charities to donate all of its profits.
Three generations
I can't write about MOMS pretzels without mentioning Bob & Pat Burnley, the founders of Kitchen Kettle Village. The couple started making jam and jellies in their garage in 1954. Today, three generations later, they've grown into over 40 shops, restaurants, and lodging rooms. This is truly a destination worth visiting during the holidays.
It is Burnley's great-grandchildren Mason, Olivia, Mira, and Sophia that make up MOMS Pretzels. Inspired by the idea of passing something on to the next generation and, more importantly, giving back, they hope that this adorable little pretzel and lemonade stand is only the start of the journey.
Each month, they select a different charity to donate to. PA Breast Cancer Coalition and Music For Everyone are among the charities they've supported so far.
Old recipe
Not only do MOMS Pretzels donate all of its profits, but they put their pride in creating outstanding pretzels. Hand-crafted, made from an old and simple recipe passed down from generations that creates that taste and look you want pretzels to have: Golden brown but not burnt, chewy on the outside, tender on the inside, a hint of sweetness, and just the right amount of salty.
Talk about giving back with a twist!
Address: MOMS Pretzels is located at 3529 Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse, PA 17534
