Tanger Outlets in Lancaster, PA - Stores Worth Checking Out + Santa's Coming to Town

The stores at Tanger Outlets in Lancaster, PA are running a ton of good deals these days. This shopping area located along Route 30 in Lancaster County features a large mix of brand-name and designer outlet stores.

There are over 65 shops, and it can be hard to know where to even begin. If you're looking for clothes, it is best to start in one end and simply walk your way through the area.

Clothes, sports

The Gap Outlet located in Suite 1002 always has a good selection of deals, especially as seasons are changing. Their selection of children's clothing tends to be stocked well. Almost right next door, there's Banana Republic, always with an impressive clearance rack filled with women's clothing. I recently purchased $5 shorts from there as well as a $15 wool sweater.

If you're not from Lancaster, and you're into sports teams that are not Pennsylvania-based, you know it can be hard to find any apparel in the county that's not Penn State, The Eagles, The Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, you name it. Bleacher Bums Sports has an impressive and extensive selection of NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and NCAA products from most teams that are out there. Here, you'll get everything from the latest fitted and adjustable hats to hoodies, jerseys and shirts, memorabilia and novelty items. They're located in Suite 801.

Southern-style candy

For candy-lovers, there's no better place than River Street Sweets Savannah's Candy Kitchen, located in Suite 1250. Whether it be their World Famous Pralines, saltwater taffy, crunchy, hand-stretched peanut brittle, or homemade pecan pies, these made-from-scratch southern delicacies are known and loved.

If you plan a weekend trip to Tanger, time it for when Santa's coming to town. This Saturday, December 4th from 11 am to 2 pm as well as Sunday, December 5th from 2 pm to 4 pm, Santa himself visits Tanger Outlets in Lancaster, PA.

Parents are allowed to use their own cameras and phones to capture a special moment with Santa in the Tanger Lounge while enjoying hot chocolate, freshly baked cookies and holiday cupcakes.

Scavenger hunt

Up until Christmas Eve, families can also take part in a Holiday Scavenger Hunt with the Elf on the Shelf, a Tanger Christmas Tradition. To participate, you have to buy Tanger's Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt Activity Book, with a price tag of $8. Everyone who completes the scavenger hunt receives a holiday gift.
