First opening in Buckhannon, WV in 1992, the American grill-style restaurant C.J. Maggie’s retained the first space while opening a second location in Elkins. While they might be best known for their wood-fired calzones and pizzas—including a Thai chicken pizza—C.J. Maggie’s boasts an extensive menu. Diners can choose from a dozen meat entrees, eighteen pasta dishes, and nineteen sandwiches, plus Tex-Mex plates, starters, salads, desserts, and lunch specials. The robust all-day breakfast menu boasts breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, French toast, combination platters, and classic dishes, like steak-and-eggs or biscuits-and-gravy. There are also more than twenty burgers and sandwiches to choose from, including hot ham on rye, Philly cheesesteak, and a “pizza burger.” Smart diners will save room for a milkshake, an apple dumpling, or a generous slice of pie with the option for a la mode.
