The emoji reactions have begun to emerge in the service’s Android app’s beta version 2.22.8.3, giving users a quick and efficient method to respond to incoming messages.
Long-pressing over the message will allow users to choose from six different emojis, including thumbs up, heart, crying, laughter, astonished face, and folded hands.
Unfortunately, message reactions are only enabled for a limited few Beta testers, this could be region-specific as well. ( ANI )

Despite the fact that WhatsApp has just recently decided to incorporate the emoji reaction feature, the tool is already widely used on a number of popular social media platforms.
A comparable feature is already available in iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter DM.

The capability will be available for iOS and desktop applications after a partial release for Android smartphones. WhatsApp’s beta app for iOS contained a toggle setting to control “Reaction Notification” in early January.
However, some users will be able to get the update now, while others may have to wait for a later release.
