Meet Moet, the cat with no eyes, who is an internet sensation

Moet is an eight-year-old blind Persian cat who is stealing the hearts of millions with her adorable videos and pictures.

Born in the streets of Oman, Moet was hungry and just a few weeks old when she was brought into a pet shop.

During her stay there, she caught cat flu from another cat, and due to the unhygienic living conditions, sparse water and food, and lack of care, she became weaker and sicker.

Fortunately, she was rescued from the pet shop by a charity. But by the time they got her, her eyes were severely infected and had to be operated out for her better health. After her surgery, she got healthier and was adopted by her owner, Emily Shotter, a PR and communications professional in Oman.

Emily wrote on her website, “She is incredibly adorable and playful. She's also a bit of a social media star!”

Moet’s videos have gone viral on Instagram and TikTok, and she has become an internet sensation now. She also has over 12K followers (as of August 3rd) on Facebook.

This champagne-colored fluffy feline has over 106K followers and 650 posts (as of August 3rd) on Instagram. She shares the account with her buddy feline, Chandon, another blind cat.

Moet has a website of her own, with her detailed story from her point of view, tips on how to care for a blind cat, facts about her, and other information. She also has an online store selling cups, clothes, bags, and more. Emily donates all the income from the online store to stray, neglected, and abandoned animals.
