Earlier this month, Forbes reported that former President Trump recently has “mixed up” President Biden with former Presdient Obama at least seven times when referring to the current President.
The Biden campaign posted one of Trump’s “flubs,” where he mixed up Biden and Obama on X.
Trump has in the past referred to the current President as 'Obama' instread of Biden to make his point that his own cognitive abilities are unhindered by his advanced age, trying to draw a contrast with himself and the older President Biden, by suggesting he thinks Obama is “having a very big influence” in running the country.
However, there is no credible reporting that former President Barack Obama is directing President Joe Biden on running the country, nor is there any credible reporting that President Biden needs him to.
Right-wing pundits have always raised questions about Joe Biden’s age and fitness as he seeks reelection. But his likely GOP election rival, Donald Trump, who is only 3 years younger than Biden, is racking up some concerning gaffes of his own, with seemingly much less scrutiny.
MSNBC’s Brian Tyler Cohen, in a six-minute opinion video earlier this year, detailed some of Trump’s many errors, including suggesting he beat Barack Obama in 2016 (Trump did not run in 2016) and World War II had not happened yet. World War II ended in 1945.
