Though she tried to claim otherwise, Republican Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was reportedly escorted out of a performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical in downtown Denver, accused by venue officials of vaping, singing, recording and “causing a disturbance” during the performance.
Even though surveillance video appears to show her vaping in the audience, she continued to deny she was doing so.
With the theater lights still up and as people were taking their seats around Boebert, she can be seen in the surveillance video talking with her companion. Boebert then reaches beneath her seat and puts an object up to her mouth for a moment before blowing out a cloud of vapor or smoke, the footage released by the theater shows.
She also appears to take photos or videos of the performance which she claimed she didn’t know was not allowed.
During the confrontation in the theater, Boebert and her companion made comments to security along the lines of “do you know who I am” and “I will be contacting the mayor,” according to the venue’s statement.
Fellow Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made headlines in June after she called Lauren Boebert “a little b----,” on the open House floor, the Daily Beast reported at the time, perhaps showing even those in her far-right conclave do not like the Colorado Representative very much.
