After the stinging rebuke last month by the pro-Trump House Freedom Caucus, who voted to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene two days after she got into a verbal floor fight with Freedom Caucus member Lauren Boebert, during which Greene referred to the Colorado Republican as a “little b---h,” Marjorie is rushing in to defend Trump against his latest indictment.
Showing what appears to be a complete misunderstanding of the Constitution and even what Communism is, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed that former President Donald Trump's court hearing for his latest indictment is an example of "actual real communism" in the United States. She argued that the Biden administration is trying to indict Trump and put him in jail because polling suggests he could win again.
Greene also criticized Republican lawmakers who emphasize the importance of the Constitution, stating that many people feel the country is in a "post-Constitution" state. This comment follows former Vice President Mike Pence defending his decision not to overturn the 2020 election results and emphasizing the need to prioritize the Constitution.
Her dire warning included the belief that former-president Trump will not be able to receive a fair trial, then Greene went on a long rant about the BLM and Antifa riots of 2020 which she said “nearly burned down Washington D.C.”
“Sorry, that’s not very constitutional. So for everyone that’s talking to me about the ‘Constitution, Marjorie, the Constitution,’ I’m sorry. It feels pretty much like we’re post constitution because it feels like communism in America today when President Trump is being indicted,” Greene added in her recorded statement on Twitter.
