While the Grand Jury on the Donald Trump hush money payment scandal takes a breather Wednesday, Stormy Daniels told followers on Twitter that she just handed over what could be very damaging phone records to her attorneys, “It was a wonderful day” Daniels tweeted and that the records were “gonna hurt” Donald Trump.

Trump revealed over the weekend that he received a tip that the Manhattan DA’s office would be charging him this week in the Stormy Daniels ‘Hush Money’ case. If he is correct, Trump is facing indictment over a $130,000 hush money payment he allegedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

After the one-day break, the Grand Jury is scheduled to reconvene Thursday.

The jury has been meeting regularly to hear testimony related to a $130,000 payment Trump allegedly approved to porn star Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election, in what prosecutors say was a violation of campaign finance laws. Daniels alleged that Trump was seeking to cover up an affair between them.

Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in 2018 to criminal charges that included arranging hush money payments on Trump's behalf, including this one being investigated by the DA, and lying to Congress. Cohen has testified at least 20 times about alleged illegalities by Trump, including whether his former boss told Cohen to provide $130,000 to pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels in the last days of the 2016 campaign. According to Cohen and Daniels the money allegedly was paid for her silence about having sex with Trump.

Trump has denied wrongdoing, and federal investigators ended their own inquiry into the payments in 2019. But the testimony from Cohen, who already has been convicted and served prison time, could help bring the first charges in history against a former president.
