Paul Pelosi, husband to then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, was violently attacked in his home early on the morning of Oct. 28th.

It didn't take long for the conspiracy theories to start on Tucker Carlson’s FOX News show and via Twitter. According to them and the most popular conspiracies, Paul Pelosi had invited a male escort into his home, for a ‘gay sex tryst.’ According to the 'right' leaning news outlet, 'The Street', Musk promoted fake news and conspiracy theory linked to violent attack on Paul Pelosi.

The man arrested and charged in the case is 42-year-old David Depape who had reportedly posted rants online against the Covid-19 vaccine, transgender people, and the House select committee investigating the 2021 Capitol insurrection. He also shared posts about Q-Anon and other conspiracy theories.

After intimating on his show several times this was all a ‘lover’s spat’, Tucker Carlson regular guest Jason Whitlock accused Paul Pelosi directly while on Carlson’s show, “[Nancy] comes home to find out that her husband’s playing hide the hammer with a Black Lives Matter guy.” And Elon Musk Tweeted that there was “a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye,” while linking to a conspiratorial site alleging that DePape was a male prostitute.

The evidence shows that that DePape broke into the Pelosi’s home, and when police arrived they found the two men fighting over control of the hammer DePape used to attack Paul Pelosi with. According to the FBI affidavit, DePape confessed his actions were politically motivated.

A judge ordered the bodycam footage released and that along with house security video shows a different story resulting in Elon Musk kinda apologizing after a Twitter follower asked him if he should.

“Nonetheless, I apologize” Musk tweeted.

Isn’t it time for Carlson and the others who pushed these baseless theories also apologize to the 82-year-old Pelosi?

According to MEDIAite contributor Isaac Schorr, “the true depth of the soul-deadening con is laid bare by those who even after watching this disturbing footage of an elderly man being clubbed by a much larger attacker, saw only an opportunity to sow still more seeds of hatred and scorn toward the victim.”

Don’t hold your breath for more apologies.
